Will Dubai expand crypto payments to cover all major government services by the end of 2026?
Dubai has become the first government in the Middle East to officially accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for certain state services. Through a partnership with Crypto.com, residents and businesses will soon be able to pay for public services — including everyday expenses like parking and utilities — directly from their crypto wallets. This move positions Dubai as one of the world’s most progressive digital economies. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to make 90% of all transactions cashless by 2026, strengthening Dubai’s status as a regional fintech hub and accelerating real-world adoption of digital assets.
