Russia is preparing to introduce “Molniya,” a new national messenger designed to support communication, social content, payments, cross-border commerce, and business services. The project is positioned as a digital bridge for the rapidly growing flow of tourists between Russia and China, as well as for students, small businesses, content creators, and companies involved in international trade. Developed by Russian firms Red Soft and Passion, “Molniya” aims to offer a secure, modern platform optimized for users active in the global digital ecosystem. According to the project’s press service, the messenger is planned for launch in early 2026.

Resolves to “Yes” if “Molniya” is publicly launched — meaning the app becomes officially available to users via app stores, official website, or public release channels — any time between January 1 and March 31, 2026. Otherwise — NO.
