Will Kazakhstan begin exporting finished critical mineral products to the United States by mid-2026?
At a ministerial conference on critical minerals in Washington, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Ermek Kosherbayev stated that Kazakhstan can already supply finished products across 20 of the 60 critical minerals listed by the United States Geological Survey. Kazakhstan confirmed its readiness to participate in building resilient global supply chains, citing existing industrial capacity, political stability, and predictable regulation. The discussions took place in the context of a bilateral memorandum signed in November 2025 aimed at technology transfer, domestic processing, and expanded exports to the U.S. market.
